Leigh Kirley's New Album is "Blood, Sweat and Gears"
On the road the songs keep you awake, alive and looking forward to your next stop to see what is waiting for you there.
Leigh Kirley has has the music going round inside his head for as long as he can remember. Now the time has come to put the ideas down and share
the music.
His first album, "Aussie Truckers", was a tribute to the Australian trucking industry, something he has been part of for nearly twenty years, but the influences on his music
are as varied from Merle Haggard, Kris Kristoffisen, Ian Moss, Troy Casser-Daly and Johnny Cash to James Last and Tom Jones.
With a unique blend of country, jazz and rock, Leigh brings you his own brand of music, a style that can not be easily labeled but can be very easy
to listen to, and Leigh now follows up his first album with the sounds of "Blood, Sweat and Gears".
Leigh's band features Steven Sparrow on guitars and keyboards.
The 'Blood, Sweat and Gears' album also features re-knowned Aussie rocker Jon English on backing vocals and Keith Kerwin on guitars.
The album was produced and mastered by Steven Sparrow and Keith Kerwin.
Leigh has performed at various venues and festivals over the last four or five years including:-
Lights On The Hill at Gatton
Urban Country Music Festival
Mud, Bulls and Music
Convoy 4 Kids
Lismore Truck Show.
